*** Fife Council Funded Nursery Spaces August 2020***
Fife Council have started their campaign for August 2020
when children aged 3-5 years old are entitled to extra nursery hours which will
be funded by the government.
Unfortunately, Fife Council nurseries do not have the
capacity to offer all 3-5-year-old children a space within their local nursery
and therefore have brought in a range of other funded providers such as private
nurseries, playgroups & childminders to help offer early learning and
childcare to all 3-5 years old children in Scotland. In doing so this will hopefully allow
children to attend a nursery/other setting within their local community rather
than having to travel for miles to attend another Fife Council nursery.
As we are in partnership with Fife Council, we can offer
children the opportunity to attend our nursery free of charge for their
government funded hours. The session
times we will be offering are
Monday – Friday 8am – 1pm
Monday – Friday 1pm – 6pm
These sessions will be over 50 weeks of the year so there is
no need to worry when the school holidays start. Your child will be entitled to attend all year
round with the exception of 2 weeks at Christmas & New Year. Please note snacks & meals will also be included
free of charge.
Please be aware that your child does not have to attend every
session and they also do not need to attend for the full session time. This is an opportunity for parents to choose their
own childcare requirements over a range of funded providers.
If you would like to express your interest in your child
attending Clever Clogs for their funded hours, please can you contact us as
soon as possible. Spaces will be limited
and our worry is once parents/carers find out they are unsuccessful in a child’s
space at their local nursery then we will be inundated with requests for children
to attend with us. We therefore advise
you to put your child’s name down as soon as possible. If you turn out to be successful in your
council nursery application then we will be happy to free up your space to someone
else.

Official Christmas Jumper day
Is on Friday the 13th December. All children & staff are welcome to wear a Christmas jumper. Children who are not in on Friday are welcome to come in any day with a Christmas Jumper for a small donation of £1.
Xmas Hamper Donations
The Parents Partnership Group are organising three Christmas Hampers this year. They would greatly appreciate any donations for the following hampers:
General Food Hamper
Sweetie/Chocolate Hamper
Alcohol Hamper
Please feel free to hand in any donations to nursery staff. Tickets will go on sale for the raffle of the hampers shortly.

Children In Need
Every year we support children in need and this year is no different. We are hosting a small bake sale. Any donations for the bake sale would be much appreciated. Children are more than welcome to come in to nursery in pj’s or a spotty top and/or jumper for a small donation of £1. All money raised on Friday will be counted and sent to Children In Need. Please help us give to those in need. If you have any further queries or questions please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Junk Modelling
We are once again on the hunt for items for our junk modelling, mud kitchen and dressing up areas. This could be empty cereal boxes, plastic food containers, old pots/pans, kitchen utensils, scarves, costume jewellery, shirts, trousers, work men overalls/hats. To be honest, the list is endless! Anything at all the children can use or dress up in would be much appreciated.
Patch
We would like to introduce the newest member of our family. Patch our hamster. He will be based in Little Clogs however all children will have opportunities to engage with him throughout the day at nursery. Any children with allergies will be kept clear of patch. We look forward to updating you on all the fun things we get up to.

Welcome
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our new app. We hope to use this as a quick and speedy way to get messages and/or updates to you regarding Clever Clogs.
This could be reminders of what is coming up or general messages regarding the daily hustle and bustle of nursery life.
We would appreciate if you could add yourself to the relevant groups/rooms depending on which rooms your children are in. We would also love if you could keep notifications turned on so you will never miss out on crucial updates.
This is all very new to us but we are hoping this is going to be a positive and successful app.
We also hope to share photos of what’s happening within nursery so keep an eye out for those too.
